Dear friends,
We can't believe it's over! Well actually it's not over, it just begun for
most believers in Campulung Moldovenesc. Words simply cannot describe what
God has done in the hearts of the people in that town. We believe that the
strongholds of tradition and legalism finally began to crack, and people
were able to God's joy and love through us.
The
very last night after the concert I was near the stage looking at the hundreds
of young people that were singing "lift your eyes toward heaven" (phrase
which is part of a great song which continues by saying: it's all I'm asking
of you, and if you find it hard I'm here to help you, to turn your face
toward God as He's the one who's always loved you). No other moment was
more appropriate for this song as we'd been preparing this moment for a
whole week.
We
would have liked for you to be able to be there and see the many groups
of NYN people spread out among the audience and share with them God's love.
Some were crying saying that we lit the spark of love in their town while
others asked us to pray for them as they felt hopelessness was overcoming
them to the point that they were not able to sleep at night. Others were
very shocked at how we can speak about Jesus in such common words telling
them no deep theological truths in "church language" but a simple message
of love. What was more surprising was the fact that we were doing this outside
the church building, the only place you're supposed to talk about Him.
Gangs
of rockers spent countless hours with our young people talking about different
things, but most of all about the kind of message we have in our songs.
The same genre but positive message. Old people were asking us to pray for
them while thanking us for coming to their town.
Julian a delegate from the city hall to help us said that because of us
their different and that he thanks God for knowing us. He became good friends
with the local pastor and we know that what God started in his life will
continue after we left.
The vice-mayor spoke to our crowd of 250 NYN youth thanking us for the positive
example we are for their town, and we were very impressed that he wore our
t-shirt to work daily.
We split in many different teams according to the projects we were going
to be involved in, and most of us were asked by the locals why we were doing
all those things and who was paying us. These were always good moments to
tell them about our love for our country and God.
Among
the many positive achievements I believe that the best thing we did was,
to help people see the church with different eyes. For way too many years
the church did God's kingdom no favor by being the way she was. All that
is changing today, people no longer see us as strange religious freaks but
loving, caring Jesus freaks.
The food distribution team that took goods to 80 families shared with us
some of the most amazing reactions, from cry to overjoyed and amazement.
They were able to pray with the families and share with them the love of
God. The children ministry that took place twice a day was an incredible
success. So incredible that we thought it would be a great idea to have
all the kids start one night with two songs they'd just learned. Obviously
their parents came to see them and were very proud of them.
We could go on for hours telling you about all the different things God
did in CM. It would be so much easier if you'd been able to be there and
witness it, but even though you weren't there we'd like to thank you for
prayers and support.
I've attached a few photos that illustrate some of the work we did. It was
pretty difficult to choose a few out of over a thousand.

Thank you for partnering with us in changing Romania. The World won't be
the same tomorrow because we're here today!!!
